Two years ago, my husband made the twins toy boxes for their first birthday.  I designed the them and my husband created them.  My original thought was to use the chalkboard paint on the front of them so they both have their own place to draw.  I have had the paint since then and every time I think to make that a weekend project, I decide against it once I think of the clean up involved, needing the outdoor space with good weather, the hassle of keeping the kids away from it, etc.

Breastfeeding is a huge part of my parenting style.  With my first son, I opted to nurse him in the car or just be home around his feeding schedule.  As a first time mom, it just felt more comfortable to me.  When I had twins, nursing in public was essential if I had any intentions of leaving the house.  So, I got used to carrying multiple receiving blankets with me for any sort of privacy for nursing in public.  Then, things would become difficult when the baby would unlatch or squirm and pull the blanket down.

Last week, while cleaning in one room, I safely put my kids in the kitchen at their child-friendly, easily cleaned craft table to color.  Well, after the dusting and vacuuming was done, I checked in on them to find that they were using their easel in the kitchen too with a chalkboard on one side and a dry erase board on the other.  All was good and I continued on my cleaning spree….then, it hit me…."Where did they find their dry erase markers?  I had those put away so they wouldn't let them dry out".
